Rachel Tublitz in collaboration with the Bronto front-end engineering and product teams. Rachel was the development lead on the project and was responsible for the visual design of the editor.
What
The Bronto message editor is a Backbone.js based WYSIWYG email message editor. Created to help email marketers create dynamic and sophisticated emails with the Bronto platform, the editor makes it easy to create responsive emails using a drag and drop interface.

Why
Bronto's previous message editor was built on a third party solution that didn't allow for much customization. Eventually, Bronto needed enough new features that building an in-house WYSIWYG editor made sense. The new message editor is built to integrate seamlessly with the Bronto platform and has enabled Bronto's customers to create increasingly complex messages quickly and easily.
